Trip To Ikea
I see pattern…
…at the iconic IKEA!

Now that I am working from home, I needed a proper work space! First things first, I needed a desk! I no longer wanted to work from my dining room table and/or on my couch! Where else would I go for a desk but IKEA!!! Still working on getting my office in order, but as soon as I get it looking good and cute, I will post pics! Until then, I wanted to share some of the great patterns I saw while shopping at IKEA. There is so much pattern on all types of surfaces at IKEA! Enjoy! :)

The above image is what greeted me at the door! Immediately, I knew I was in for a pattern filled shopping experience!

EYE see pattern! This one may just be my favorite of the bunch! I love the colors and anything with an eye on it is kinda cool in my book! ;)

I had to include these bc I am just loving flamingo and pineapple art! These glasses belong in my cabinets! SUMMERTIME!!! Who’s ready?

Too bad I could only afford a desk for now bc this lil “Saved By The Bell” inspired piece should be in my office, as well!
Love this print for a boy’s room. The owl is now moving on to the male population! haha
I ended the day seeing these beautiful geometric patterned rugs! I love a nice two color geo patterned rug! There’s a place for these in everyone home!
Stay tuned for my post of my office. I am loving having a work space at home! Yay for working for yourself! :)

The Wicked Way Boston is Wired
I see pattern…
…in wrought iron architectural detailing on the streets of Boston!

This is another #laterpost from my Boston trip. My husband and I walked from Newbury Street to Beacon Street to tour the original Cheers Bar/Restaurant. Unfortunately, no one “knew my name,” but we sill had a fun time seeing the place! ;) On our way there, we walked down Arlington Street by Boston Common Park where there was the most amazing wrought iron detailing on the entrances to residencies. I just had to take pictures, of course. I saw swirls and geometrics in these beautiful works of art! No two homes had the same pattern. Enjoy the stroll down Arlington Street in Boston!

This last one was a tad bit “wicked” and I dont mean “wicked” in the way Bostoners use the word. The swirly points are actually wicked and a bit scary… LOL
And just because this was too funny…

Not sure if a Bostonian is buried under this very big snow pile or if someone just left their glove behind. Let’s hope it’s the second option! :)

Instapattern Tiles
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,
OMG, this, shamefully, is my first real post of the year on I See Pattern. I am so embarrassed! I have been out of control busy with all of the holiday festivities and just with plain ole life! It’s been crazy. I will spare you all the details!
Thankfully, I will be attending Altitude Summit this year (I leave tomorrow) in Salt Lake City!!! I am counting on Alt to make me a better blogger for you guys! :) I cant wait to get there! If you will be attending, PLEASE say hi, as i am going completely stag and dont know a soul!!! A little nervous, but oh sooooooo excited to meet everyone and to soak up a ton of creative information that will be there! It’s going to be a fabulous 4 day weekend!

Anywho, for this post, I wanted to share with you my new obsession - Instapattern Tiles! What is that, you ask? During the holidays, I searched for websites that print instagram photos onto magnets or something cool I could give as a gift for Christmas presents. :) I came across ImageSnap! Basically, you upload your instagram shots (or any image you like) and ImageSnap will print them onto tiles!!! Three of my family members received Instapattern tiles from me as gifts. I am totally hooked. They come with magnets to glue to the back, but I decided to make a picture out of some of mine. There are more ideas on the website of what you can do with these amazing tiles! LOVE!!! Get creative! Below are pics of the one I gave to my uncle.

Yes, that is the back of the picture. White is the glue! I thought the back was just as interesting! I See Pattern - haha!

I absolutely loved this project! Now that Christmas is over, I will be making one for myself! Thanks ImageSnap!

Symmetrical Patterned Xmas Wrapping Paper
I see pattern…
…on all sorts of different Christmas Crafts!
Soooooooo, I decided to do a little Christmas Crafting myself (with pattern included, of course)!

Last year, I painted green and red Chevron patterns on all my gifts! This year I decided to stay away from painting and instead experiment with circle punches and hologram sticky paper! I knew I wanted to do something with snowflakes (aka symmetrical patterns hehe)! :) I just wasnt sure what I wanted to do. Then I saw these lovely windows at Urban Outfitters and was totally inspired.

So, I went to JoAnns Fabrics and collected all my supplies! And found a snowflake puncher at Michael’s that I used on some of the presents. You know, ya gotta make a collection of wrapping paper designs. ;)

Supplies needed:
3 sizes of Fiskars Circle Punches
Hologram Sticker Paper of your choice - I found mine at JoAnns
Recollections Snowflake punch - I found mine at Michaels
Trusty ole brown packing paper - found at Target
I am absolutely pleased with the way my gifts turned out this year. What do you think? :)

Happy holidays everyone!!!! And if you attempt this wrapping paper DIY, two tips beforeyou start…
1. The thicker the sticky paper the easier it is to peel, BUT the harder it is to cut. I had to put my snowflake punch on the floor and step on it to cut thru the paper!
2. DONT paint your nails with glitter finger nail polish before you conquer this project! The glitter totally made it way more difficult to peel the hologram sticky paper!! :)

Gap Holiday Patterns
I see pattern…
…on Gap’s Holiday Marketing Campaign and Store Visuals!
As you all know, I work at GAP part time for some extra cash and just as a fun side job. I have been with GAP for a little over 3 years. This is my 4th Christmas Season with GAP. Each year they do a bang up job with the holiday visuals. You can see some of my posts I did on previous seasons at Gap here and here on my personal blog called WB Inspired. (Which btw I have put on hold bc I have been focusing on I See Pattern. :)
Anyway, this year at Gap, the holiday decor has PATTERN on it!!! And so do some of the clothes. So I snapped a few shots and wanted to share the fun patterns with you! Enjoy!

BTW, some of these photos, like the one above, are Instagram shots I took for my store’s instagram account. As of right now, I am the only one running it. So if you like my instagram and follow @iseepattern then follow @gap_westvillage. :)

These are this year’s Holiday Gift Cards! Holy pattern, right?!? Aren’t they so adorable? I haaaaaad to get at least two of them to give as Xmas gifts this year! They open up and have the card inside. So clever, GAP!

And so many to choose from!

Yes, I bought these star jeans! LOL

Happy Holidays, everyone. Head to Gap for some great gifts and to see all the patterned gift cards! hehe

Christainer Store Wonderland
I see pattern…
… on Christmas wrapping paper at the Container Store.
Is it too early for all this??!! hehe

Tip to you all: DO NOT step foot in this store right now unless you have some serious cash to spend! OMG there was soooo much cute holiday inspired pattern filled products that i wanted! I went in looking for something to hold my wrapping paper down while I decorate it bc I am making my own paper again this year. Check out last year’s here. I failed to find what I was looking for, but managed to find a Christmas wrapping paper Wonderland! I somehow was able to get out of there without purchasing anything, but left with a whole lot of holiday inspiration. If you need some jolly paper this year for your presents, you will definitely find what you are looking for and probably more at The Container Store! I freakin love that place. Happy Dec everyone! Enjoy! And stay tuned, as I will be posting my wrapping paper when I am done. :)

How stinkin cute is this guy???

…and these guys!

I think Santa needs to bring me my gifts in these bags!

Happy December Everyone! I hope where you live, it’s not 80 degrees like it is for me in Dallas, TX right now. Oh well, I’m still in the Christmas Spirit, dern it! :)

Instapattern: Monochromatic Lunch
I see pattern…
…while on my lunch break!
Husband picked me up at work and took me to lunch today! While sitting outside on the patio at Manny’s Uptown, I noticed all the monochromatic gray scaled geometric patterns around me. Aaaand I happened to be wearing a black and white plaid button down that matched the theme, as well! Loving this little collection of instapatterns I managed to spot while eating lunch today! :)
